Finlayson Point

What the Park Offers

Finlayson Pt. offers a number of activities:
- birding for warblers, flycatchers, birds of prey, and a variety of waterfowl
- boating from the boat launch and the docks
- fishing for lake trout, northern pike, pumpkinseed, rock bass, large/smallmouth, perch, whitefish, and much, much more
- swimming on two sandy beaches
- discovery tents for showcasing the are

There are no hiking trails, but in White Bear Forest across the road, the best one is:
- Tower Trail 0.5km easy; walk out to the best view you'll ever see. Climb up a formerly used fire tower to enhance the experience.

Visiting the Park

After turning off of Highway 11, you'll pass the owl and arrive at the park store. Drive further and see the dog beach on the left. Turn right at the first right turn and see sites galore, before arriving at the two main beaches. If you continued straight, you'd have seen numerous private properties before seeing seeing sites 100-114 on the left, dump on the right. Continue straight to get to the docks, playground, and more sites. See map supplied below for more details.
