Arrowhead P.P. is on 451 Arrowhead Park Dr. in Huntsville, ON. The park is on two lakes (Arrowhead and Mayflower) and the Big East River (pictured above). We most recently visited this park in September 2023.

The park's campground was first opened to the public in 1966, but the park was not formally established until 1971.
An "arrowhead" in this context is the bit of stone or other sharpened material at the end of an arrow, used in battle.
What the Park Offers
What the Park Offers
Arrowhead has many amenities, including:
- swimming on the Arrowhead Lake beach
- cross country skiing/snowshoeing in winter
- 1 km skating trail
- canoeing on Arrowhead or Mayflower Lake
- fishing for rainbow trout and smallmouth
- birding during the spring
The two most popular trails are:
- Stubb's Falls 2km easy; walk along the Little East River and watch how it tumbles over beautiful Canadian Shield landscapes.
- Big Bend Lookout 0.5km easy; this trail leads to the famous lookout over a meander in the Big East River.

Visiting the Park
Turning off of Highway 11 onto Arrowhead Park Road, you'll pass by this beautiful park sign. You'll pass by Mayflower Lake and proceed to the store and visitor centre on the eastern portion of the park. Coming out of the visitor centre, go left to Roe Campground, go right to East River and Lumby. There is a map supplied at the bottom of this page if this is unclear and/or you want more information.

Come in the winter don't forget your skates!
Make sure to stop by the Big Bend Lookout - you won't regret it.

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL!!!!! One of the top 5 best parks I've visited. The bend is gorgeous, the falls stunning, the sites are good, the beach is pleasant, it's all great. Quiet enough for a short weekend with family, but big enough that you don't feel ghosted and alone (SPRINGWATER cough cough). A 9.5/10.
